Watching

Beneath mossy beards
weathered faces watch, listen –
silent witnesses.

Mirrored, the silence
echoes through my soul – invites
a deep soothing calm.

is all well and good, until
the dragon wakens.

I admire – to glide, sail
through rainy weather.

disrupt the tangle of grey –

Travel is the ask,
so many questions – answers
just fragments of truth.

withholds resplendence of blue,
dons a grey raincoat.

In weakness vines cling,
crave a solid bolstering –
sage advice: no wall.
