Permission to write, paint, and imagine are the gifts I gave myself when chronic illness hit - a fair exchange: being for doing. Relevance is an attitude. Humour essential.

I love this haiku, V.J. and the photo. I’d never thought of moss as beards but what a lovely thought. I am partial to moss myself. My mom’s maiden name was Moss and so my grandparents were Ma Moss (the sweetest woman in the world!) and Pa Moss.
Thanks for the quote, it is full of wisdom 😊

I love this haiku. Unusual thought, expressed with precision. You made sure that I’ll not forget this metaphor.

Love that connection. These old trees felt like spirits to me, and thus the beards.

I love the sense that nature is watching us humans. If so at the moment its probably in full despair at times. 😦
