The softness of petals,
such a glorious curve,
even colourless, floral
fragrance has verve –
For Cee’s Black & White Photo Challenge: Â Flower of any kind.
The softness of petals,
such a glorious curve,
even colourless, floral
fragrance has verve –
For Cee’s Black & White Photo Challenge: Â Flower of any kind.
How broken those with blue hearts
who embrace only poison breezes.
I dance rhythmless,
lingering on an almost stout word
men need cool from voices
baby, girly, cat, no eternity fare
I devour the salty note
bit life surrounding that din.
(Fridays are magnetic poetry)
One a Tom –
night prowler,
elusive schemer –
renders me sleepless.
Another, pampered,
a diva demanding,
high anxiety to boot –
makes me crazy.
Third, a trickster,
stays out of sight
and then springs –
keeps me on my toes.
This raising children,
like herding cats –
next to impossible,
and I’m allergic.
(A light-hearted poem in response to Willow Poetry’s What Do You See? Challenge: Â featured image.)
What if each soul,
in passing,
casts a seed
upon the earth –
and with each Spring,
the seeds burst
with beauty,
as a reminder
of the blessing
that is life.
Such a gift is youth –
silvers stars and bows,
jingle-jangle wishes…
Seldom opened –
shame and insecurity
casting doubt, despair
Shall we try again,
age and wisdom
steeped in appreciation.
(Written for Willow Poetry’s What Do You See Challenge, the prompt being the featured image.)
Where peace keep you,
there the soul plays –
Ask the sun her best day,
the flower, her mind –
open one moment,
though another away.
We live star-eyed,
fill our home
find a little fun –
Game must be nice,
like you please, sister,
promised positive.
(Fridays, I visit Magnetic Poetry online for inspiration.)
Subtlety unknown,
Spring’s repertoire bold and bright –
soul responds in kind.

(Inspired by Ragtag Community’s prompt: sumptuous, and Fandango’s: common)
Begging, this story,
brimming over
bursting out
I suck in,
hesitate
ending preset
message elusive
crushed beneath
weight of subjectivity.
