Unsettled,
worry’s guest –
change binds me,
spineless…
this waiting is venom,
caution enticing,
pursue transformation,
big, small – and diversion
to eliminate the parasites.
Intellect needs a cure,
neediness burdensome –
taking charge messy.
Responsibility my own.

Waiting is venom…wow! What an image.
Hang in there.

WOW, powerful write, VJ. I can relate. It sounds trite, but as I’m learning yet again, “this too shall pass”–which makes me confident that your current situation will improve. Now the trick, for me, is not to reply with–“yes, but it (whatever it is) will be back this way again” 🙂 ❤

It will pass. I kept reminding my husband of that today. “It’s just a blip in the larger scheme of things,” I told him.

Unsettled is the perfect title for this poem, and it leaves the reader with a feeling of unease too. Well done, VJ. Hope all is well.
