Strains of “Desperado”
float through my mind
as images of the plague
assault me- this new life
too much, future unforeseeable
caught in a dystopian novel.

You’ve hit it exactly right. Surreal. I feel like I really know what that means now. A new meaning to what a nightmare is.

Oh V.J. life’s definitely feeling surreal, inside out and upside down, and there’s no place to go in this old town….

It does seem surreal! I wish I could wake up to pre-covid times.

That’s just it, isn’t it? We wake up as normal only to find we’re stuck in this weird repeat cycle.
