What harbinger is this
and why am I not convinced?
Cynicism wants concretes,
feeds complaints,
exaggerates,
retreats
Need to confront
this wall-building,
fight to retain
Spirit’s message –
deescalate fear’s grip.

Love the photo of the ghostly sun. Interesting title also. If only one had the answer to mind games, internal and external. Awareness can be a saving grace.

Awareness helps for sure. Thanks.

This is another poem that really resonates with me. My inner cynic and idealist are in a constant battle with each other.

STUNNING image – sobering poem. We’ve just begun a new moon cycle – a time to listen for guidance from beyond self. Your 2nd stanza says it beautifully – confront our inner cynics and listen to Spirit’s guidance. (SOOO difficult! My inner cynic keeps picking at details, nagging, nagging … I’m reading this aloud to said inner cynic right now. Thank you, VJ.)
Curious – is the image sun or moon?

Thanks Jazz. We are spinners without thread, lol. The image is the sun. It was such a strange day, I had to snap a photo – it felt ominous.

Your first two lines had me hooked. What harbinger is this? Most of the people recognise us by the orbits we are on, and an absence of orbits unnerves them. They do not know how to convince you.

Thanks Reena. Learning to trust life seems to be a spiral dance.

It’s an upward battle some days. The brief lines increase the feeling of the battle.

Yes, they do. Still, we soldier on…
