Oh Spring
budding promise
innocence of green
awakening hope, beginnings;
hurried
the impulse to respond, before
scorching heat burns efforts
melts ambition –
Summer.

No sound, no movement
the bullfrog obliges lens –
I am conqueror,
superior – then espy
miniscule me in his eye.

I admire – to glide, sail
through rainy weather.

Flight
wondrous, white
uplifting, embracing, alluring,
deeply stirring my soul –
escape.

Man, possessed of mind,
logic driving ambition –
magic overlooked.

Black and white flashes
disrupt the tangle of grey –
heart-soaring sweetness.
If eternity a breath,
I must smoke hard,
go fish a breeze.
Only son, the explorer,
always steel –
red, green are broken,
he puts those in cupcake.

so many questions – answers
just fragments of truth.

crave a solid bolstering –
sage advice: no wall.
