Silently, I follow
novice heart absent
Who can maneuver
the breathless streams
attempt a spiritual viewpoint
while continuously overwhelmed?
Urgently in need of a breakthrough
I am done, outdated
Summer’s passage conceded
this soul requires triage
An experience of caring
that does not resemble a demand for more.

What an image! Did you paint that?

Beautiful, VJ. To do things gently is to do them well. There’s such a feeling of self-care in this poem that resonates with me. Hope you are well 🌸

Beautifully written, VJ! This poem resonates deeply—capturing the struggle of exhaustion and the need for care with such raw emotion. Truly moving and relatable.
