With each stanza
I strive for an upswing –
idle thoughts leading
to a crescendo…
But exhaustion plagues
my try, and fog colours
perspicacity, so my words
land low, goal in limbo

I think this is a meta poem, VJ. The poem says that the poet’s attempts at writing well have faltered, yet this poem proves you wrong! It is a wonderful poem. I, like others, love this photo and your version of it.

In limbo is not a good place for our words to be. I like the image you created to represent limbo.

I love that your poems are (almost always!) accompanied by photos you’ve taken yourself. I follow one particular site where the poetry is okay, sometimes quite good, but mostly just okay. What’s striking about these posts, though, are the photos. Unfortunately, they are curated elsewhere and not photos taken by the poet herself. (I asked). I love the double creative punch when a blog contains words – and images – of the poet’s own doing. Props to you for just that!

Thanks Julie. When I first started the blog, I used other photos found on the internet, but set a goal to use my own images. At that point I didn’t even own a camera, so I bugged my husband to take photos for me. Instead, he gave me a camera and I haven’t looked back. Thanks for acknowledging the effort.
