Centred, I project merit
directed by routines
grief securely stored
Anxiety, not so compartmentalized
reveals that I am outsider, pliable,
pursues a validating response.
Perfectionism despises vulnerability
balance embraces contradictions
complexity overwhelms – I breath.

yes that line resonated with me too V.J, projecting merit, giving credit before a task, positive and empowering

That anxiety tends to get the better of me, too. Your poem expresses this state very well–and the need to just come back to myself and breathe.
