Armed with plans
and guidelines, we
ready for life’s climb,
unaware that childhood,
untamed and intact,
takes the lead.

I can hardly remember the feelings myself, but I see and feel the energy behind these words in my three little grandchildren. They are propelling forward at a rate that makes my head spin sometimes! I love this, V.J., and the photo, too! Precious!

Boy, this set me to pondering – a good thing – about letting our inner child, that bold and curious being who is often suppressed by guidelines and plans, take the lead. How rich a life we could have if lead by her.

I’m quite happy to let childhood take the lead. (I’ll skip right over the loss of innocence part that immediately followed it.)

You made me smile. 🙂 My husband often says, “It’s never too late to have a happy childhood.” (I think that’s why I fell in love with him!)

Kindergarten was the best time of my life, it was all downhill from there. 😉

Lol. Can’t say I remember much about those days other than a badly skinned knee once.
