No Expiry Date

Such a gift is youth –
silvers stars and bows,
jingle-jangle wishes…

Seldom opened –
shame and insecurity
casting doubt, despair

Shall we try again,
age and wisdom
steeped in appreciation.

  1. Love the title, V. J. There definitely is no expiry date to finding serenity at any age, but getting out of the turmoil of striving for more in youth, aging does add a new perspective. Sometimes less is better. Acceptance and appreciation are the key. Nicely written. 🙂
