Impatience

Petulance is actually the word that comes to mind at the moment. I feel as if my inner child, not getting what she wants fast enough, is throwing a temper tantrum.

I just need to convince her to give the grass time to grow.

Thanks Richard Adams.

Permission to write, paint, and imagine are the gifts I gave myself when chronic illness hit - a fair exchange: being for doing. Relevance is an attitude. Humour essential.

  1. Sometimes, despite how we, in our adult forms knew to delay gratification, the child inside wants what s/he wants NOW, and if s/he doesn’t have it, then, s/he throws her/his, temper tantrum, with our adult selves, either working out best to calm them down, or we throw the tantrums ourselves.
