Love’s waters rise
defy the impossibility
of our sedentary walls –
tides and emotions
like sculptors
reshaping the contours
of opposition, softening
the places where hearts meet.

Oh…reshaping contours…makes me think of the importance of tending to those harsh, sharp edges, too. Beautiful, beautiful. As Marsha said (above) that softening is a necessary ingredient in relationship-building. xo! 💕

I must second Victoria’s words here, couldn’t have said it better. VJ, you are such a joy to read.

That is a beautiful poem, VJ. I loved these phrases, “sedentary walls” and “softening
the places where hearts meet.” It spoke to me about the way time does soften the places where our hearts meet. If they don’t get soften, the relationship doesn’t work. 🙂

So true Marsha. Having the advantage of age, I can say that it is a blessing.
