Burn the love letters
watch as each quaint lie curls
sham interrupted –
betrayal’s intricacy
scatters amongst the embers.

This is wonderful! So much in so few words. There’s something much more satisfying about burning things than just deleting emails.

Powerful piece, VJ! I am on the same page as Liz! I just chucked everything in the trash after my divorce. That was many moons ago and I have no regrets.

When I got divorced, I didn’t bother with burning. I just chucked all the letters in the trash, along with my wedding dress.

There is something to a ritual…chucking is good too.

Love the intricacies of the image reflecting on the intricacy of betrayal. I’ve done some burning myself in the distant past.

Just biding my time until surgery day in early Sept. Hard to be my old self these days. Hope your hubby is doing better with his knee.

The waiting is the worst! Ric is doing better thanks. I’ll be watching your story – will need to do my hip down the road.

Oh no! Must be a common thing amongst a certain age group. A lady in my building had both knees and both hips done.

Apparently I have severe bone loss. I am on treatment to build up the bone before I can have surgery.

It can be a long long road to gratitude, sometimes we never get there. A lot said in few words, nice image
