On The State Of Humanity

Inwardly we glow…
so it’s said

I shudder
ignorance grating
like branches
on my windowpane

Hope is a fox
draws me out,
then disappears

If inwardly we glow…
then why am I so cold?

Permission to write, paint, and imagine are the gifts I gave myself when chronic illness hit - a fair exchange: being for doing. Relevance is an attitude. Humour essential.

  1. Great picture! Well, your poetry needs some more editing, flow of language etc. (professional deformation as I was an editor).
