Picture-perfect life
who doesn’t aspire?
I’ve reframed the image
time and time again
Searched for definition
in 5′ x 7′ then 8′ x 10′
But a creative soul
cannot be confined
frames now accents
for the life that flows.

For Reena’s Exploration Challenge #159. Images mine.
‘But a creative soul
cannot be confined’
So true. Beautiful post.

I’ll be thinking more on stanza 2 and 4. Good work, V.J!

Thanks Benjamin. I think the two stanza resolve themselves. At least for me.

Hi VJ – I love how you connected the frames to life
also – the funny thing is – you know how I am going to refer to your “how it all started post”?
((and by the way – I am behind with blog goals but will get to that post in a couple weeks))
anyhow, the draft of that post is combined with Anna Linden’s latest book called “frames” – and so coming here to read your latest post I just smiled at the coincidence – I won’t see the themes together but it is fun on my end.

I really like the notion of frames being accents not boundaries in which we’re confined.

Thanks Liz. A shift in what defines us.

You’re welcome, V.J. And we have the power to make that shift ourselves.

We do. I don’t think I realized that till later in life though.

I didn’t either–and it took a lot of therapy to get there. 😉

Reframing is so important in life, just to manage stress and survive. I like how you reveal glimpses into your personality, and leave others imagining the rest 🙂
