Ducks In a Row

I’m trying to be practical and methodical about the upcoming move, but emotions cloud the process. I fluctuate between excitement and trepidation. Moving, after all, does require letting go.

We’ve been going through the boxes in storage – things we’ve moved from house to house, and seldom looked at. Ric found his mother’s silver serving utensils and has been paralyzed for a day contemplating what to do about them. I suggest he should save them for his next wife, in case she likes polishing.

Thank goodness for timelines and lists. It forces us to stay on track. Must keep those ducks in a row.

Permission to write, paint, and imagine are the gifts I gave myself when chronic illness hit - a fair exchange: being for doing. Relevance is an attitude. Humour essential.
