Wild the buttercups
thrive beneath emerald
canopies –
Joyous the heart
open to reverie
swells –
Earthy matters
soothed in moments
of ethereal release.

Is it possible to see a grove of buttercups and not be transported by it? Your poem suggests that it’s not possible, and I have to agree!

This is “ethereal”. Great to read, but I know this one was really meant to be read aloud! Stanza one and two are just pure, pure beauty. Feeling a bit jealous that I didn’t write this.

Thank you! Some things are difficult to capture in words. Ethereal was the desired effect, so I appreciate your feedback.

Yes, but can you sing and dance the Iβm Called Little Buttercup number?

That one I don’t know, but as a silly Grandmother, I’m willing to learn and give it a try.
