Suggestion of blue
framed by barren, hopeful branches
underscored by coniferous tops
fronted by yellow-green optimism
and a floor of brilliant new growth
as filtered through metallic screen
and black-framed windowsill
focus interpreted by progressive
lenses of the one confined inside
perspective horizontal.
That was I was trying to create – a snapshot of the layers. The period would be outside the quotation marks – first impulse was a good one.

When I first looked at your photo, I thought about “pixels”. Our eyes don’t see individual “pixels” but when standing back and looking, a whole picture can be seen. Kind of like life, huh…little squares pieced together to create what the world sees or chooses to see. Ha..your photo has inspired “life thoughts”.
Grammatical question…does the period go inside the quotation marks or outside? “life thoughts.” or “life thoughts”.

This scene would make an excellent panoramic photo.

I tried to capture it, but didn’t do any justice. Thanks.

Nice. “Yellow-green optimism” sparks a thought that optimism implies “something better than now” which implies a bit of “envying whatever not in hand” … which would definitely be greenish! The yellow-green being green envy with a golden glow of hope which would indeed by optimism. [Had never considered the hue of optimism! Thanks for this new connotation.]
