Thoughts, no more than grains,
block the path; how did I become
so invested in self-analysis:
a fool’s game, no winners
Light does not trip over molecules
but decorates, celebrates passage;
moves on – a hopeful dance
whose steps I’d do well to imitate
(Image my own. Tuesdays I borrow from Twitter @Vjknutson)

Self-analysis should be just that and not self-criticism. Stunning piece, VJ.

It’s hard not to, VJ. It’s a thin line.

I like the movement of your poem into the light. I’ve always found self-analysis helpful, perseveration not so much.

“No winners” True enough. That’s been my experience of harsh, unrelenting self-analysis. Thanks for sharing your insightful work.

Self-analysis, serves as something that helps us introspect, to know what causes us to behave certain ways under certain, situations, and, it gives us, more insights on our selves.

It does, agreed. But it can be taken too far. Like anything, best done in moderation.

We surely all would benefit from those steps. Light in both senses, deep.
