Peaceful Adieu

As night falls, the sun
serenades my soul –
Beauty wraps my heart
in somnolent ecstacy
paints my mood
with shades of love

reality out of focus –
imagination floats, full sail
into a dreamy mist,
delightful course,
a symphony of hues
coaxing welcome slumber.

Permission to write, paint, and imagine are the gifts I gave myself when chronic illness hit - a fair exchange: being for doing. Relevance is an attitude. Humour essential.

  1. Mmmmm
This was so refreshing that I feel like I benefited from your sunset through the way you expressed t here

And how the moment of such beauty can paint our mood- whew
And then the second stanza takes it to how whatever might be heavy in real life is now “relaid out of focus” so we can just be (and then head for inner all refreshed)

      1. It made my day!
And that is likely because it has been a little stressful this month (on and off – not every day) and so I am seeing how beauty lifts us up (I knew it but still amazed when we feel it again and again)
And so a few days ago – my friend sent photos of her week old grand baby and it was this flood of beauty –
Then / starting my day with your sunset via poem
        Really was nice
(And now I better stop before I over do it)
