I dwell in mediocracy
where Larkspur takes a spotlight
and sunsets enforce sleep
A background figure, I hide
behind mundane assertions,
practice subtlety
Lies I tell myself, of course,
any reader knows – I decry
normality, as passion is my way.
(Tuesdays I borrow from Twitter @Vjknutson. Image my own)
Intriguing art, VJ! You are definitely NOT mediocre in all your expressions. π

Larkspur lies too near San Quentin for me to see sunset subtlety there for sure.

Dr Andrea is correct….you do have a courageous heart – which I love about you. Thank you.

As long as you don’t measure out your life with coffee spoons you’ll be fine. β

So many nuances to your poetry VJ. Each word captures an entire story. Love the risk you take in sharing. Young people do this daily. I takes much more for us to do the same. You have a courageous heart. I hope you know that. Because itβs what I see in you. And your writing. Courage β₯οΈ

Thanks Andrea. People always tell me I am courageous. I have never seen that, but I appreciate the affirmation.
