Horizon

Life stretches out before us
and all I see is construction –
so many unknowns ahead

Search the horizon
for reassurance
that the road is worthy –
destination in view

In truth,
no matter our choices,
it is peace we seek –
not found beyond,
but within.

  2. YES, exactly! I’ve told my husband maybe the only way to experience complete peace is if my consciousness were in a jar. No external intervention affecting me nor any physical internal stresses putting pressure on me. I believe that might be quite soothing. lol
