Eagle and Crow

Eagle arrives
and I am at once
small, insignificant

Breath held
I am stillness
basking in majesty

Till ubiquitous crow
calls his cronies,
chases eagle off

Everything gains perspective.

Permission to write, paint, and imagine are the gifts I gave myself when chronic illness hit - a fair exchange: being for doing. Relevance is an attitude. Humour essential.

  1. I love this! Could I share this with my Unitarian Universalist online church group? With full credits to you of course. It’s beautiful!
