Rock Pool

Is it the stillness
of the rock pool
that draws me
again and again?

Authority eludes –
is not my own –
I dodge hawk-eyed
critics, am weighted
down…struggling
to resurface…

Crave tranquil
company, a chance
to breathe…
unseen…
Nature always the key

Permission to write, paint, and imagine are the gifts I gave myself when chronic illness hit - a fair exchange: being for doing. Relevance is an attitude. Humour essential.

      1. Yeah, I’ve in 404 error message world. I’ve been so busy with medical issues I haven’t had time to fix it. I hope later today I can work on it. I need to get it running again. I want to find a blogging at home job. I will need prospective bosses to be able to read my writing.

  1. Oh VJ I love this poem – and your photo is exquisite! When I read your words (especially about resurfacing), my heart opened with the gift of nature. Thank you so much.

Emerson is one of my favorite poets….he loved nature. 🙂 Here’s a quote you may enjoy!

“Look deep into nature, and then you will understand everything better.”

    Blessings to your day, VJ.
