Silent as the Great Blue,
Autumn hues creep
shifting the landscape
altering my mood.
Do feathers quiver
at the ensuing chill,
or is it merely human
this seasonal affect?

Lovely photo, V.J. The accompanying poem ‘reflects’ my mood today as the temps plunged.

Thanks LuAnne. I’m not ready for a change of season, as if my wants have any sway, lol.

That is a most beautiful shot VJ. I too have wondered if feathers quiver.

Great capture! I wonder that too…do they have the emotions beyond fear to feel dread for the seasonal shift and long migration.

We’ve certainly noticed that for the geese, their call is different this time of year.

Interesting, I’ll have to pay closer attention. Right now the gold finches are singing prettily in my back yard. They seem to love the dill.
