To Catch a Sunset

Mosquitoes favour
river banks – hopefully hate
repellent, free me
to linger as dusk settles
catch that last flash of colour.

Permission to write, paint, and imagine are the gifts I gave myself when chronic illness hit - a fair exchange: being for doing. Relevance is an attitude. Humour essential.

  1. Love the image you created of the sunset scene. ❤ I know it's hard being a photographer when the bugs are out. I got attacked by black flies in my last photo adventure a few days ago.
