Mirrored, the silence
echoes through my soul – invites
a deep soothing calm.

The mere presence of that mirror makes me sigh…

I can be silent on the outside at times while inside I am screaming — very strange experience VJ… I like this!

Very soothing, V.J. Just yesterday I read this by Rumi, “We are the mirror, as well as the face in it. We are tasting the taste of eternity this minute.” I thought of this quote when reading your lovely haiku.

We all need calm right now as our environment is so chaotic. Like everyone, especially creative types, achieving complete stillness is a lifelong challenge. I’ve had a lifetime of prayer/meditation and I still pull my hair out trying to rein in my monkey mind.

Absolute silence is a phenomenon. If I ever found it, it would fill with the tinnitus in my ears!

Haha – a blessing, indeed.

I used to meditate, but gave up after never achieving the silence, the white calm. My cortex never sleeps; I either dream, daydream or inhabit the Now.

Is silence achievable? Then I’m no good either, lol.
