Is survival resilience?
Those who crawl
from the trenches,
elbow-deep in mire,
trust not the leniency
of asphalt nor concrete
Resilience dons bravado
picks itself up, dusts off
the ashes, and wheels on –
tires squealing in the face
of those mud-laden.

Interesting question presented here, VJ. I especially love the line, “Resilience dons bravado…” This poem is one I’m definitely going to ponder longer.

I think, resilience is, a step, further than survival, because you have resilence, you fight, while survival is, merely, keeping our heads above water, not knowing if we’re going to, sink or not. Resilence has more of a resolve, the persistence of keep on fighting until we rise up.
