There may be more truth in this than the author intended. We color our circumstances with our attitude toward them. I choose to color in deep, rich colors (especially red) that help me find joy. But I’m no Pollyanna. When I awake with an especially painful headache (because there is a headache EVERY morning) I still say “Oh, sh–“, then take my pills and anticipate that I might be lucky and it will go away!
