Funny how memory differs…
My fears, closeted,
clouded the view…
Your oblivion smug…
there was potential there, I’m sure –
but sometimes love isn’t enough
expectations and insults
impenetrable dividers…

  1. I quickly stopped dating a man once whose small insults veiled in humor were an indicator of things to come. But he had so many other things going for him! Yes, it had potential. If I’d been younger, would I have read the sign properly?
