Seasonal Defiance

Cast my shadow over white banks
assert presence: proud, defiant

Will find beauty in deserted places
and colour in the monochrome

Haunted by a Winter state of mind
resolved to stretch despite chill.

Permission to write, paint, and imagine are the gifts I gave myself when chronic illness hit - a fair exchange: being for doing. Relevance is an attitude. Humour essential.

  1. Inspired. I am tied to the seasons and it used to bother me until I realized that my grape Vines continue to put out roots during winter. I like bearing fruit but God’s plan is better. Beautiful thoughts from yours!
