Wonder Cycles

Every child a dreamer
school the tribunal
where imagination
is sentenced to death

Adulthood is a canyon
where ambition shelters
the broader view, till age
resurrects the child.

Permission to write, paint, and imagine are the gifts I gave myself when chronic illness hit - a fair exchange: being for doing. Relevance is an attitude. Humour essential.

  1. Yes!!! bloody hell they are still trying to kill kids souls off in schools.. and I get it about later life.. My feeling is that child always waits for us to turn back to him or her since she or he is the truest part of us, at least that is my belief, and this poem expresses that truth so well.
