Sip of brewed mugwort
and reality shatters
pixelated beads
like a murmuration
shapeshifting images
luring me skyward
I am skin-shedding
anti-gravitational
Alice in Wonderland
watch me grow.

Another beautiful one. A murmuration, that’s the grouponym for starlings isn’t it. Love!

The perfect daydream, shapeshifting (as long as it’s not in a werewolfian kind of way).

I think murmuration is one of my favorite words. To be as one and as separated as a flock of birds would be a truly surreal experience.

I just finished reading a novel called “murmurations” by Carol Lefevre. 🙂 It was very good. It starts with a picture of a starling flock.

I love to watch the starlings in the fall. Such an incredible feat of unified individuality.

I love this! Both the artwork and the poem. Which came first?

Separate entities, but I thought they paired well. I think my subconscious has a plan, lol
