Sacred Witness

There is no promise
life passes, sometimes trickles
we survive or thrive
love as glue, spirit reigning
heart open – sacred witness.

Permission to write, paint, and imagine are the gifts I gave myself when chronic illness hit - a fair exchange: being for doing. Relevance is an attitude. Humour essential.

  1. What a beautiful reminder to stay open in our heart space, to witness love and choose love. Love is the glue, the foundation that lies within us all meant to spread, rejoiced and celebrated! Thank you for sharing your words and picture 🙂

  2. This is a beautiful poem V. J. It brings a calm feeling to me as I read it over several times.
I like the words “heart open- sacred witness.”
(sacred witness is much nicer in this poem than the words my brain first read as “scared witless”….that has a whole different feel…)

    1. Hahaha – I’m trying to balance out the scared witless, Betty. In this time of so much uncertainty and helplessness, we can still remain witness to all that is glorious.
