life’s connections tenuous
I set my dial on pleasing
regret failures –
Wish I could shake

Allow others just to be –
focus on accountability for me.

If we’re hardwired with that empathetic impulse, it’s hard to shake. If not shake, dialing it back can still be a challenge. Thought provoking poem (and very cool image)!
