Roses, hydrangeas
we are as flowers
in this garden called life
Who appointed gardeners
to pronounce weeds
to extinguish breath?
Murder is murder
we are all fallen
paradise suffering blight.

I wrote a poem with the same title based on George Floyd’s death. Its lovely how you use it as a metaphor with flowers.

Thanks V. I wanted to express how beautiful (and precarious) all life is.

You know, I was thinking about something similar earlier. Vegans and vegetarians sometimes say meat eaters are killing animals for food, but I always wonder, aren’t plants living things, too? Apologies if I’m off-topic, but what you’ve written triggered these thoughts.

Lol. I wasn’t thinking about food, but I see how it could lead your thoughts there.
