I crave orange –
not the shade of deceit
oozing in political corners
I seek fiery tones
the hues of transformation
the promise beyond this cocoon.

Nicely written: “I seek fiery tones / the hues of transformation”. Reminds me Nietzsche: destruction can lead to creation or a better change, doesn’t always have to be a bad thing.

The potential is there for much to happen. Thanks.

Orange is such a vibrant, inviting colour, especially in this time of autumnal transformation. Blindly waving political colours sets my heart on edge, wondering if the cocoon will never open for the common good.

Orange is such a warm and welcoming color, IMO. Your image is lovely with an orange marmalade sky.

Orange was my all time favorite color for years – teens through my twenties. And then…not. It is full of energy though. I like how you describe it here (and what a gorgeous image!). Transformation and promise. Perhaps I’ll give it another look 🙂

I’m still orange crazy. Actually incorporating it into my new decor. Thanks.

Good for you! I wonder if there are still orange shower curtains and curtains out there. I had those at one time. 🙂

Yes, we mustn’t let the fake orange creature appropriate our genuine, life-affirming orange.

Thank you, V.J. The latest news stories seem to be pointing in the direction of a well-deserved comeuppance. (Hoping and praying to make it so.)

Beautifully said VJ.
Alas, we had orange of a different kind as our berg winds on Sunday with the high temperatures set farms and livestock ablaze.
Im going to hold on to your version, much better. 🌻

Oh my gosh. So sorry to hear that. Orange has many connotations, I am aware. Take care.
