In Nature, I Trust

A murder of crows
observes my passage,
anchors my presence

In nature, I trust –
all else is noise.

Permission to write, paint, and imagine are the gifts I gave myself when chronic illness hit - a fair exchange: being for doing. Relevance is an attitude. Humour essential.

  1. I’ve always liked that a group of crows is called a murder. I don’t know why. In any event, I really like the tension in this poem, that raucous cries of crows represent comfort and trust.
