Failing

Educated in curriculums
qualified to lesson plan
and structure evaluations

far reach from current course –
platform inaccessible, only student
self – a disagreeable sort

take my grievances higher –
no response, boss is asleep
indifference snoring.

Permission to write, paint, and imagine are the gifts I gave myself when chronic illness hit - a fair exchange: being for doing. Relevance is an attitude. Humour essential.

  1. Loved your education intro (the retired teacher in me reads so much into those lines), the ‘student self’ and the final indifference – sliding from school to life and all the questions that comparison brings. Thanks for the succinct capture that speaks volumes to me .

  2. “Angels are often silent, but they are listening to every thought that stirs our soul.” I find a sign can come when one least expects it. Just have to be open and adjust the antenna. 🙂
