Fertile is love –
an ancient fruit tree
soft and up-giving
were life root
almost too wet –
moony world
Secret: I wither,
am stone berry –
no rain at lake
walk bucolic earth
follow winter cover
shed colour
watcher,
will live,
do.
(Friday is Magnetic Poetry day. Image is from personal collection.)
Very cool “moony world”.

Yes, I’ve only tried it one time ever, many years ago. I could see how it can send you in a new direction. I’ll have to try it soon again. Seems it could work with writer’s block.

I LOVE this! Especially like your turn of phrase, that love is “up-giving”–WOW.

I’ve tried it a couple times…with little magic in my results. Maybe it’s the season to try, try again 🙂

Sometimes it gets repetitive, I’ll admit.

My efforts felt and sounded forced, lacking the natural rhythm I normally feel. But I’m willing to try again one of these days 🙂

The photo and the words bring me on the most wonderful Journey. Thank you VJ! Your words inspire. So much courage in your writing. An incredible way to transform pain into power.

Am stone berry – great magnetic line! There is a sparse self-proclamation feel about this. Great!

Thanks Jilly. I like that line too. Never know what the magnetic poetry will conjure up.

A song for V.J

Well that brought a tear to my eye – the words, yes, and the fact that I am certain you channeled my dear friend Nadine in sending me this song. She loved Leonard. I lost her last year to cancer. Thank you, Ivor. This means a lot.

Oh a pure coincidence, but I think sometimes things happen for a reason. Yes one of my fav’ songs too. I always think of Carole too. Leonard Cohen’s words in his songs are always so true and touching, may all the sweetest of memories fall on you
