Tides recede,
puddled remnants
of once oceanic flooding –
emotions overpowering –
threats now quelled.
I breathe,
lose myself in visions
of gold and promising greens,
yesterday’s heat a numbing haze
obscuring tomorrow’s obstacles.

Soothing colours…blues, golds and greens. I hope they stick around for tomorrow!

Aren’t they gorgeous? Soothing is a good word.

Of course I don’t mind! I am honoured that it inspired you for tomorrow’s post. I love how we’re on the same page this week. Literally & figurately. Rest is love. xo

If it’s hot where you are I’m betting it’s Australia as I’m in California and it’s not hot here….
Beautiful verse too by the way…

I’m in Texas right now – cooler today. The heat referred to is more metaphorical than actual. Picture is from Utah, taken last spring.

Ah.. Ok I had thought you were American, but the reference made me wonder.

I guess I like to confuse, lol. We are actually Canadians wintering in the U.S. where the temps are more bearable.

The plot thickens. I’m just an American Gypsy who happens to be in California at the moment.

California is not a bad place to be. We visited last year on our travels.
