Insignificant enough
to go missing –
a single box,
stored away,
one, maybe two,
moves ago –
the absence
of its contents
now called into question.
Seems that redundancy
is not permanent –
what was once inconsequential
now has purpose –
gives me renewed hope.

Meant to say “super great line”. A great line never arrives late, it arrives exactly when it wanted to – and yours did.

Redundancy is not permanent- super late line and insight.

We moved a year ago, and I’m still questioning where things are.

We finally found the box in question – mislabelled. Amazing how things sneak away.

Transitions…moving on or away from….compartmentalized….memories….so many boxes.

Yes, exactly. Thanks Lillian.

The transition each box carried is well described. I love the positive ending. 🙂

Lots of fun here. All those secret/embarrassing docs – even those awful photos – when big hair and loud shirts were the go – that inevitably will be found again one day.

Sometimes I wish I could store my memory into boxes….safe and sound.

Amazing how many things we collect only to forget they are there. I love digging through my box of treasures from childhood.

Yes, childhood treasures are the best.

Your piece made me wonder what other folks have said – if we haven’t found what’s lost, is it really needed? Thought-provoking!

I have those too. Lots of them. You’re right, if they’re not missed, do they really matter?

It’s an age old argument, I think.

For those of us with too many possessions probably 🙂

All these moving around can bring about these nagging questions of where they are. And time gives us new “eyes” of what is really important now versus the past. I hope you find it.

Thanks Grace. No idea where it might be, sadly.

This is the crux of it, for reader-Me. A life in transition, perhaps finally settling in, and seeking what’s been missing. Isn’t it funny how we can own “stuff,” and forget about it for so long?

Definitely a life of transition – internally as well as externally. Thanks.
